Project Gmail Grimace

Project Gmail GrimaceI did my part today, grimacing for the betterment of e-mail standards and mankind.

It’s all about pushing Gmail to play a little nicer with CSS so us designers can deliver a consistent experience across multiple platforms. I think they’ll listen.

Kudos to the Yahoo Mail team for doing such a great job supporting e-mail standards.

E-mail Standards Project

Sunday, December 9th, 2007

Email Standards ProjectI tend to have nightmarish flashbacks when I start designing an HTML e-mail. I get what you could call the CSS cold sweats.

Internet browsers’ support of standards is progressing and we’re headed in the right direction. The same now needs to happen for e-mail clients.

That’s why I’m voicing my (and encouraging your) support of the E-mail Standards Project, spearheaded by the awesome guys at Freshview.

They’ve got a great explanation of why this is important. Please do what you can to support the movement.
